“E se Kurt Cobain incontrasse Maria Antonietta?” Parte da questa domanda Olivier Rousteing, acclamato direttore creativo chez Balmain, per la collezione Kids FW22.
La decostruzione e un certo spirito sovversivo si riflettono in borchie, loghi all-over, tagli cropped e silhouettes oversize. Il tutto accostato ai canoni couture della maison: ricami, decorazioni dorate e linee sartoriali. Il risultato più che alla corte di Versailles ci porta nell’universo rock immaginato da Sofia Coppola che alla regina di Francia ha dedicato un bellissimo film.
La Balmain Army in formato MiniMe incarna il DNA del brand (black&white, la leggendaria abbottonatura dorata sui blazer, la marinière)… e lo proietta nel futuro con accenti neon e power pink!

“What if Kurt Cobain met Marie Antoinette?” Olivier Rousteing, acclaimed creative director chez Balmain, starts with this question his journey through the Kids FW22 collection.
Deconstruction and a certain subversive spirit are reflected in studs, all-over logos, cropped cuts and oversize silhouettes. All juxtaposed with the couture canons of the maison: embroidery, gold decorations and tailored lines. The result, more than at the court of Versailles, takes us into the rock universe imagined by Sofia Coppola, who dedicated a beautiful film to the Queen of France.
The Balmain Army in MiniMe size embodies the brand’s DNA (black & white, the legendary golden buttoning on blazers, the marinière)… and launch it into the future with neon and power pink accents!
