Brand ♡ – The Middle Daughter

Vi raccontiamo oggi di un brand inglese nato da poco, nel 2018. Si chiama The Middle Daughter ed è stato creato da due menti straordinarie, Ric & Deborah. La coppia negli anni ’80 organizzava feste nella capitale britannica, poi nel 2007 hanno dato vita a un marchio che forse ricorderete: No Added Sugar. Chiusa una porta si è aperto un portone. La nuova avventura dei due è una linea per bambine dai 2 ai 14 anni con un’estetica minimal e pezzi all’ultima moda. The Middle Daughter si chiama così perché Deborah è una figlia di mezzo, proprio come il nostro direttore Petra. E non è l’unica cosa che hanno in comune: entrambe hanno lasciato casa a 17 anni, hanno vissuto ad Ibiza, hanno svolto mille lavori, e hanno un Gabriel in famiglia. Due anime gemelle, che hanno portato un’ondata di novità nel mondo bambino.

La collezione P/E 20 esplora l’intensità della stagione estiva con tutta la gioia che porta (quest’anno più che mai). Fantasia floreale e toni pesca e verde menta sono gli ingredienti principali insieme a forme voluminose e maniche a palloncino, segno di riconoscimento del brand.
È un rapporto speciale quello che Deborah ha con l’estate, e attraverso le sue creazioni ne entriamo a far parte anche noi.

We tell you today about an English brand that was born recently, in 2018. It’s called The Middle Daughter and was created by two extraordinary minds, Ric & Deborah. In the 80s the couple organized parties in the British capital, then in 2007 they created a brand that you may remember: No Added Sugar. In Italy we say “once a door is closed a gate is open!” The new adventure of the two is a girlswear line from 2 up to 14 years with minimal aesthetics and trendy pieces. The Middle Daughter is so called because Deborah is a middle daughter, just like our editor-in-chief Petra. And it’s not the only thing they have in common: they both left home at 17, lived in Ibiza, did a thousand jobs, and have a Gabriel in the family. Two soul mates, who brought a wave of novelty into the world of children.

The S/S 20 collection explores the intensity of the summer season with all the joy it brings (this year more than ever). Floral fantasy plus peach and mint green tones are the main ingredients together with voluminous shapes and balloon sleeves, a trademark of the brand.
Deborah has a special relationship with summer, and through her creations we also become part of it.
