Per chi ancora non la conoscesse, Young Sheldon è la una delle sitcom americane di maggior successo giunta oramai alla sua terza stagione.
Racconta la quotidianità di Cooper Sheldon, un bambino prodigio che a nove anni già frequenta il liceo. Il suo quoziente intellettivo non lo aiuta però nelle relazioni sociali perché i suoi comportamenti bizzarri sono spesso vissuti come imbarazzanti sia in famiglia che fuori. Dotato di scarsa emotività Sheldon fatica a comprendere gli altri e nonostante i fratelli cerchino spesso di prenderlo in giro  non riescono mai realmente nel loro intento perché Cooper è oltre qualsiasi provocazione. Anche il rapporto con i genitori, così diversi da lui (il padre è un allenatore di football parecchio godereccio e la madre una fervente cattolica) è spesso complicato ma anche fondamentalmente affettivo. Insomma, Sheldon è un piccolo alieno saccente e presuntuoso, non conosce l’ironia, vive in un mondo tutto suo ma vederlo in TV, ogni settimana, solleva l’umore fa bene al cuore.

Young Sheldon is one of the most successful American sitcoms in its third season. It tells the daily life of Cooper Sheldon, a child prodigy who at the age of nine already attends high school. His IQ does not help him in social relationships, however, because his bizarre behavior is often experienced as embarrassing both in the family and outside. Sheldon struggles to understand others, and although the brothers often try to make fun of him, they never really succeed because Cooper is beyond provocation. Even the relationship with his parents, so different from him (the father is a football coach quite enjoyable and the mother a fervent Catholic) is often complicated but also fundamentally affective. I mean, Sheldon is a smart, cocky little alien, he doesn’t know irony, he lives in a world of his own, but seeing him on TV, every week, raises the mood and it is good for the heart.
