Ariana Greenblatt è una delle più impegnate giovani attrici americane del momento. Nata 13 anni fa a New York, già all’età di 6 recitava in produzioni Disney. Nel 2018 arriva la fama con il suo ruolo nel film “Avengers: Infinity War” e la partecipazione alla stagione di debutto di “Ballando con le Stelle Junior”. Dall’11 Settembre la possiamo vedere sulla piattaforma Disney+ nella pellicola L’unico e Insuperabile Ivan, l’adattamento cinematografico dell’omonimo romanzo per bambini del 2012, scritto da Katherine Applegate.
È la storia di un gorilla di nome Ivan che vive in una gabbia di un centro commerciale in compagnia di Stella, un’anziana elefantessa africana, e di un cane di nome Bob, senza alcun ricordo di come sono giunti fino a lì. Sono di proprietà di Mack, il proprietario del Big Top Mall. Quando Ruby, un’elefantina maltrattata fa la sua comparsa e viene affidata alle cure di Stella, Ivan inizia a prendersi cura di lei e insieme a Julia, la figlia del custode, interpretata proprio dalla Greenblatt si adoperano per cambiare le cose. La giovane Ariana si è unita a un cast stellare, tra cu Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren e Danny DeVito.
Contando già su un milione e mezzo di fan che la seguono sui social, siamo sicuri Ariana diventerà una stella.

Ariana Greenblatt is one of the busiest young American actresses right now. Born 13 years ago in New York, she was already starring in Disney’s productions at the age of 6. In 2018 she gained fame with her role in the movie “Avengers: Infinity War” and participation at the debut season of “Dancing with the Junior Stars”. Now we can see her starring in the movie The One and Only Ivan available on Disney +.
The story (which is an adaptation of the 2012 children’s novel, written by Katherine Applegate) tells about a gorilla named Ivan who lives in a cage in a shopping center together with Stella, an elderly African elephant, and a dog named Bob, with no recollection of how they got there. They are owned by Mack, owner of the Big Top Mall. When Ruby, a battered little elephant appears and is entrusted to Stella, Ivan begins to take care of her and together with Julia, the keeper’s daughter, played by Greenblatt, they work to let things change. Young Ariana has joined an incredible cast, including Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren and Danny DeVito.
Already counting on one and a half million fans who follow her on social networks, we are sure Ariana will soon become a star.

Ariana, sei nata a New York, dicci qual è il posto migliore per i ragazzi della tua età?

Ariana
Bella domanda! Amo Central Park. Mi legano un sacco di sentimenti a quel parco. Non ti stanchi mai di osservare la moltitudine di personaggi che lo popolano. Amo anche i musei d’arte e quello di Storia Naturale. E siccome sono una grande appassionata di teatro, Broadway è un must!

SCIMPARELLO
Raccontaci del momento più divertente che hai vissuto sul set del film L’unico e Insuperabile Ivan.

Ariana
Oh è così difficile sceglierne uno. Direi quando io e Bryan (Cranston) abbiamo inventato scene random e personaggi. Gira un video in cui lui mi incorona come nuova Regina d’Inghilterra e lo fa con un buffissimo accento aristocratico! Oh e un’altra volta è stato quando eravamo a metà tra due scene e Owan Arthur e Ramon Rodriguez se ne sono usciti cantando questa aria da opera che conoscevano. Io e Bryan ci siamo guardati meravigliati perché erano proprio bravi!

I tuoi film e libro preferiti.

Ariana
Durante la quarantena ho iniziato a guardare vecchi film e sono ossessionata da Titanic (non l’avevo mai visto), Clueless and The Professional con Natalie Portman. È il mio ruolo ideale! Il mio libro preferito è The Giver and Hatchet.

Se non fossi diventata un’attrice professionista, cosa ti sarebbe piaciuto fare da grande?

Ariana
Sempre qualcosa nell’arte, forse la scrittrice, la regista o la pittrice.

SCIMPARELLO
E se fossi stata un animale quale e perché?

Ariana
Sia un colibrì che una scimmia. Perché amo vedere i colibrì nel mio cortile e vorrei vivere nella giungla come le scimmie.

SCIMPARELLO
Come ti piace trascorrere il tuo tempo libero?

Ariana
Facendo skate-board e surf. Dipingere e cucinare mi aiuta a schiarire la mente. Sono anche conosciuta per potermi perdere ore e ore al tornio.

SCIMPARELLO
Ti piace la moda? Quali brand?

Ariana
Sì! Mi piace tantissimo, sono cresciuta guardando le sfilate. Tra i miei preferiti Red Valentino, Fendi e Louis Vuitton. E Tiffany, per gli anelli e e le catene.

SCIMPARELLO
Dove fai shopping di solito?

Ariana
Dalla quarantena solo online. Normalmente compro da Pac Sun, Aritmia e Urban Outfitters per i miei look quotidiani.

SCIMPARELLO
Il posto più bello che hai visitato con la tua famiglia?

Ariana
Maui. È stata una bellissima esperienza, persone e ambiente erano incredibili. Ci siamo stati lo scorso Capodanno e ci ritornerei subito. Poi abbiamo girato Love and Monsters in Australia nel Queensland ed è un posto fantastico. Alcune location erano veramente remote e dovevamo raggiungerle in elicottero. Finito di girare, ho provato lo snorkeling nella Gran Barriera Corallina: da fare una volta nella vita! La mia prossima meta? L’Italia, cibo, arte e architettura sono meraviglie.

SCIMPARELLO
Daresti un consiglio a tutte le giovani ragazze che vorrebbero iniziare una carriera nel cinema?

Ariana
Di impegnarsi al 100% e sicure di voler dare il meglio di sé, e farlo anche per la giusta ragione. Divertirsi e godersi ogni opportunità. Non è facile ma molto appagante!

Ariana, you were born in NY, tell us which is the best place for kids of your age there?

Ariana
Good question!  I love Central Park a lot. There just seems to be so many different feels to that park.  You can never get bored and the people watching is awesome, there are so many different characters.  I also love the art museums and the Museum of Natural History. I’m a big theatre buff so seeing a Broadway musical is a must.

Share with us the funniest moment you lived on the set of The One and Only Ivan.

Oh gosh it’s so hard to choose but I would say when Bryan (Cranston) and I would make up random scenes and characters.  There’s a video of him crowning me the new Queen of England and he’s using this fancy English aristocratic accent! lol Oh and another time was when we were randomly in between shots, Owan Arthur and Ramon Rodriguez broke out singing this opera song that they both knew and Bryan and I just looked at each other in awe because it was actually pretty good.

Your favorite movie and book?

Ariana
I’ve been catching up and watching a lot of older movies lately because of quarantine and I have to say I’m obsessed with Titanic (I literally just saw it for the first time), Clueless and The Professional with Natalie Portman. It’s my dream role! As far as books, I love The Giver and Hatchet.

If you hadn’t become a professional actress, what would you have liked to be when grown up?

Ariana
Well I would want to always stay in the arts so maybe I would be a writer, director or a painter.

SCIMPARELLO
And if you were an animal, which one you would be and why?

Ariana
Either a hummingbird or a monkey.  I can see myself as a  hummingbird because I love watching them darting in and out of my backyard and monkeys because the idea of living in the jungle is so fun. They’re so cute and funny!

How do you like to spend your free time?

Ariana
I love to skateboard and recently picked up surfing. Painting and baking really helps me to clear my mind.  I’ve also been known to lose myself for hours on the pottery wheel.

Are you fashion-oriented? Your favorite brands?

Ariana
YES! I love fashion so much, I grew up always watching fashion shows. My favorite brands currently are Red Valentino, Fendi and Louis Vuitton. I love Tiffany for some fun accessories like rings and chains.

Where do you usually shop?

Ariana
Since we’ve been in quarantine I’ve been online shopping a lot. I usually shop at Pac Sun, Aritzia, and Urban Outfitters for my day to day looks.

SCIMPARELLO
The best place you visited with your family?

Ariana
The best place my family and I have visited would be Maui. It was such a great escape and the people and environment there are so incredible.  We spent New Year’s there last year and I’d love to go back soon. Also we shot Love and Monsters in Queensland, Australia and omg that country is so beautiful and fantastic.  Some of our locations were so remote that we flew in by helicopter. After I was done with filming the movie I got to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef which was a definite must do! It’s a fantastic place.  My next destination I would love to travel and explore though is definitely Italy.  The food, art and architecture look amazing.

Would you like to give any advice to young girls who want to start a career into cinema?

Ariana
The advice I would give would be to be 100% committed and to make sure you are in it to win but also in it for the right reasons. Have fun and to enjoy each and every opportunity you get!  It’s not easy but very fulfilling.
