Meeting Ari Hisae

Il sapore del té, la luce delle lanterne, il profumo dei fiori di loto… nel numero 7 di Scimparello c’è un servizio moda illustrato che ci accompagna nella magia dell’Oriente. L’autrice è Ari Hisae, che riesce a coniugare nel suo lavoro la grafica ispirata ai fumetti di Miyazaki, un tratto alla Klimt e i colori di Touluse-Lautrec. Un’ottima combinazione che è risultata vincente anche fra le pagine del nostro magazine.
Ariela (il suo nome completo) è brasiliana, ha 29 anni e vive a Londrina, a nord nella regione del Paranà. Si è diplomata in Arti Visuali fra il suo paese e la Spagna.
Le abbiamo fatto qualche domanda, così da poterla conoscere meglio… insieme a voi!
SCIMPARELLO
Abbiamo notato una crescente influenza di Miyazaki e in generale degli anime nel mondo della moda, come lo spieghi?
ARI
Credo che la cultura orientale sia sempre più pervasiva a livello globale, soprattutto quando parliamo di entertainment, e questo si riflette nella moda.
SCIMPARELLO
Se un brand di moda bambino ti chiedesse di illustrare dei pattern, cosa faresti?
ARI
Qualcosa di molto colorato, con forme geometriche semplici.
SCIMPARELLO
C’è un marchio col quale ti piacerebbe collaborare?
ARI
Camu Camu, un marchio brasiliano con bellissime stampe.
SCIMPARELLO
Ci dici un bel museo da visitare con bambini in Brasile?
ARI
Il Catavento, a San Paolo. Un bellissimo spazio culturale pieno di sorprese. Puoi toccare una vera meteora, esplorare il corpo umano, imparare i segreti della corrente elettrica e molte altre cose.
SCIMPARELLO
Il tuo piatto brasiliano preferito, e la sua ricetta?
ARI
La carne impanata. Non c’è nessuna ricetta segreta: prendi il taglio di tua preferenza, infarinalo, passalo nell’uovo, poi nel pan grattato, friggi e servi caldo!
SCIMPARELLO
Sei mai stata in Italia? Se no, come la immagini e cosa vorresti visitare?
ARI
È il mio sogno, immagino l’Italia del mare, fatta di case sulla costa. Vorrei vedere la Sicilia d’estate.
The flavor of tea, the light of lanterns, the scent of lotus flowers… within Scimparello issue n°7 there is an illustrated fashion story that takes us into the magic of the Orient. The author is Ari Hisae, a master in combining graphics inspired by Miyazaki’s comics, a Klimt-like stroke and the colors of Touluse-Lautrec in her work. An excellent and successful combination.
Ariela (her full name) is Brazilian, 29 years old and lives in Londrina, in the north of the Paranà region. She graduated in Visual Arts between her country and Spain.
We asked her a few questions so we could get to know her better… together with you!
SCIMPARELLO
We have noticed the influence of Hayao Miyazaki and anime in general into fashion, how do you explain it?
ARI
I believe that oriental culture in general is increasingly pervasive in daily life globally, especially with entertainment and this is increasingly reflected in kids fashion.
SCIMPARELLO
If you should illustrate prints for a kids brand, what would you do?
ARI
The prints I would make would be colorful, with elements of children’s imagination with simplified shapes, geometric elements and patterns.
SCIMPARELLO
And is there a children brand you would like to collaborate with?
ARI
A Brazilian brand that I want to collaborate with is Camu Camu. The prints are beautiful, colorful and fresh, very much like Brazil.
SCIMPARELLO
The most beautiful museum to visit in Brazil with kids?
ARI
The one that enchanted me the most was the Catavento Cultural Museum, it is a place for the whole family to have a unique experience. In this museum it is possible to touch a real meteor, understand human anatomy and of some animals, learn about energy generators among other things within the field of science.

Your favourite Brazilian dish and its recipe?
ARI
My favorite dish is the breaded steak. The recipe has no secret: season the steak of your choice, then coat it with white flour, then egg and finally breadcrumbs. Finally, fry and serve.
SCIMPARELLO
Have you ever been in Italy? If not, how do you imagine Italy and what would you like to visit?
ARI
It’s my dream. The Italy I think of is more coastal, with houses by the sea. One region I would love to visit is Sicily in the summer.
