Multiópticas Launches MO X DOWN
An Inclusive Eyewear Collection Designed for Children with Down Syndrome
Multiópticas, Spain’s leading optical company, takes another step forward in social innovation with the launch of MO X DOWN, a capsule collection of glasses designed specifically for children with Down syndrome.
Created in collaboration with the Spanish Down Syndrome Association, the project is driven by a shared goal: to design eyewear that adapts to the unique needs of these children, prioritizing comfort, fit, and functionality — without compromising on style.
What makes this initiative truly special is the active participation of children with Down syndrome and their families throughout the design process. Their real-life experiences and insights were key in shaping the collection, ensuring that every detail responds to practical needs — from the choice of materials to the frame’s ergonomics.
The result? A range of models for kids aged 3 to 15, available in multiple sizes and cheerful colors, offering a perfect blend of functionality and playful design for everyday wear.
The launch of MO X DOWN will be highlighted at the National Meeting of Families of Down España, the most significant event in Spain for people with Down syndrome and their families.
This initiative also extends beyond product innovation through a corporate volunteering program, giving Multiópticas employees the opportunity to collaborate directly with the association and reinforce the company’s long-standing commitment to social responsibility.
