There is something about mixing prints that always makes my heart beat a little faster. Florals with checks, tiny patterns with bigger ones, soft colors layered one over the other — when it works, it feels like a small kind of magic.

Printed Heirlooms, imagined by photographer Emma Wright together with stylist, Holly Moluluo, has exactly that feeling. It plays with prints in a way that feels tender, nostalgic and beautifully instinctive. Nothing is too perfect, and that is what makes it so charming.

What I love most is the romantic touch running through the whole story. The floral fabrics, the vintage mood, the soft layering, the feeling of clothes and textiles that could have belonged to someone before and still feel completely alive today.

It is a kids fashion story full of pattern, memory and quiet poetry. (Petra Barkhof)
