July in the city can be… complicated. Schools are closed, holidays still feel far away for many families, and finding activities that keep children entertained without resorting to another afternoon in front of a screen is no small challenge.
If you’re spending part of the summer in Milan, there’s one colourful destination worth adding to your calendar. Until 24 July, Young Folks is hosting its Summer Club, an inspiring programme designed for children aged 3 to 9, where creativity takes centre stage. Instead of screens, little ones are invited to explore the world through painting, theatre, cinema, movement and hands-on workshops that celebrate imagination and curiosity.

The initiative is supported by PRIMO, the iconic Italian brand of creative materials produced by Morocolor Italia, now part of Osama Group. Together, they’ve created an environment where children are encouraged to experiment freely, discover new ways of expressing themselves and, most importantly, have fun while making something with their own hands.
At the heart of many activities are PRIMO Superwashable Tempera Paints, featuring vibrant colours that wash easily from most fabrics and surfaces. That means children can paint, mix and create without worrying about making a mess, a detail parents are sure to appreciate. The paints are made with at least 95% naturally derived ingredients, while both the bottles and caps are produced from 100% recycled plastic, combining creativity with a thoughtful approach to sustainability.

More than just a summer camp, the Summer Club embraces the idea that learning happens through play, exploration and shared experiences. Every activity is designed to nurture confidence, imagination and creativity, offering children the freedom to experiment in a welcoming environment.
So, if your little ones are still in Milan this July and you’re searching for an activity that’s engaging, inspiring and refreshingly screen-free, the Young Folks Summer Club might just become their favourite summer memory. After all, sometimes all it takes is a paintbrush, a splash of colour and a little imagination to turn an ordinary day into an unforgettable adventure.
