With Winter 2026, Scimparello changes the scale.
N°17 began with a simple question: what if we looked at the world the way children do? For an ant, a garden is a city. For a child, a stick becomes a horse and a fallen leaf becomes a roof. Guided by the theme of Flora & Fauna, this issue of our kids fashion magazine becomes less a subject to explain and more a world to imagine.
Six fashion editorials take us there. In A Little Bird Told Me, children wrapped in clouds of tulle and soft grey knits share a painted sky with birds and a little dog. Winter Flora runs free on a windy beach and lies down in a field of white flowers. The Secret Life of Plants climbs into the trees and wanders through a forest of light and shadow. Wild Grace blooms among ivy and greenhouse palms, in ruffled collars and silk bows. Under the Same Sky follows two friends across open fields and rocks by the sea, heart to heart. And in Red Wonderland, children become illustrated characters in a red world of scarlet ibises, candy-striped shrimps, fly agarics and a white rabbit, late as always.
The colours of the season come to life: moss and olive, deep red and berry, lilac and foxglove pink, intense blue and a flash of buttery yellow.
Beyond fashion, Carmen Edo tells us how Maison Mangostan turns ten with Dear Mother Earth, a family travels through Iceland’s black sand and wild skies, and we bring back our Scimparello Favourites from Playtime Paris and Pitti Bimbo. Plus Enrico’s Sketch Book Diary, our Bellissimo picks for little explorers, Oroscopello and the Scimparello Collections FW26.
Published in English, with selected articles available to download in Italian and with videos and playlists inside the pages, Scimparello N°17 is an issue about children as they are: curious, sensitive, funny, free, and wonderfully connected to the world around them.
