The path taken by designer Olivier Rousteing between his adult lines and the translation of stylistic codes into the Mini Me format continues. For SS23, Balmain Kids thus takes up again the colour choices, silhouettes and fabrics that are the canons of the French Maison.

The most scenographic proposals see tulle alternating with denim, asymmetrical skirts with blazers. Logo-mania continues to surprise us with striking patterns. A more casual package of sweatshirts and marinière knitwear, on the other hand, is inspired by West Coast grunge: here, white and cream shades mix with pastel tones for a relaxed mood.

Tie-dye, the trend of the season, plays with leo motifs, proving to be the perfect match… or why not dare with cropped tweed jackets and flared trousers? The trompe l’oeil garments that create unexpected optical illusions deserve a mention. Rousteing also decided to use this technique on some garments of the Balmain Kids line, through a dungaree print and a couture drape!
