Stack! Flip! Create!

Sometimes, the simplest actions open the brightest doors — and Body Blocks from House Humbaba, a slow design publisher based in Beirut, are exactly that: a playful, poetic way to explore the incredible variety of human forms. Designed to capture the essence of different body shapes, these tactile wooden pieces invite kids (and grown-ups, let’s be honest) to build freely, imagine wildly, and notice the beauty of difference. Each block looks familiar and comforting, yet every curve, angle, and silhouette subtly mirrors the human body.

Body Blocks come in three types — head, torso, and bottom — each available in variations of forms, sizes, and colors. By stacking, layering, and mixing the pieces, new characters emerge every time: some tall, some round, some quirky, some balanced in gravity-defying poses. It’s open play at its best, where creativity becomes a gentle lesson in diversity.

Crafted for children ages 3+, every block is made from solid PEFC-certified beechwood, hand-dyed with organic, non-toxic milk paint, and sealed with a water-based finish for a smooth, safe touch. Sustainable, soothing, and ready to become the building blocks of countless stories.
