David Bailey: Changing Fashion

A rule-breaker. A game-changer. A legend.

exhibition
Calling all culture-savvy parents and fashion-forward families: mark your calendars! Starting June 28, 2025, The Marta Ortega Pérez (MOP) Foundation in A Coruña, Galicia unveils its latest must-see exhibition — David Bailey’s Changing Fashion.

This is not just another photography show. This is a full-on dive into the bold, brilliant chaos of the Sixties and Seventies, seen through the lens of the man who didn’t just photograph the era — he defined it.
British photographer David Bailey tore up the rulebook of fashion photography, mixing high style with street edge, and capturing a new kind of celebrity: raw, real, and rebellious. From Jean Shrimpton to Mick Jagger, Michael Caine to the infamous Kray twins, Bailey turned his camera on the icons — and the outlaws — who shaped modern culture.
With over 140 photographs, including rare and never-before-seen images, the exhibition is a vibrant time capsule of a generation that still echoes in how we dress, pose, and think about fame. Expect a mix of high fashion, rock ‘n’ roll, and raw street energy — all curated in true Bailey style: bold, unfiltered, unforgettable.

The show also includes:
A reimagined film version of his iconic Box of Pin-Ups
A nod to Ritz magazine, the cult fashion-and-gossip zine Bailey co-founded in the ’70s
Immersive displays that channel the spirit of his studio — described by Vogue’s Diana Vreeland as “less cathedral, more nightclub”.
