Wheat & Pernille: A Collection with a Cause
An Exclusive Kidswear Collection to Support Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation.
This August, fashion and philanthropy unite as renowned stylist and creative consultant, Pernille Teisbæk, collaborates with Scandinavian kidswear brand WHEAT to launch a limited-edition capsule collection. This exclusive collection aims to raise over 67,000 euros, with all profits going directly to the Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation. The initiative seeks to bolster the foundation’s crucial efforts in childhood cancer research, information dissemination, and providing support for affected families.
The capsule range, featuring t-shirts, sweat styles, denim styles, pajamas, a beanie, and a cap, is designed with a total unisex look and an intended oversized fit. Comfort, durability, and sustainability are at the heart of this collection, which is made from organic fabrics. Notably, the t-shirts, sweat styles, pajamas, beanies, and caps are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), ensuring that they meet high environmental and social responsibility standards.
The collection is titled I Will Do Big Things, a statement imbued with hope and resilience. Pernille explains: For me, this message is primarily associated with something hopeful. The aim is to spark hope amidst the challenge of going through illness. This optimistic ethos is woven into every piece of the collection, emphasizing the importance of comfort, ease, and timeless style for children.
