Collection Statement

As the winter light melts into a fading dusk, the house hums with warmth. Inside, among friends, a light-hearted and bold joy transforms an ordinary afternoon into a series of small delights. The air fills with the happy sounds of hurried footsteps chasing ideas too exciting to explain, cheers from games won, and laughter echoing through the rooms. Every corner tells its own story: the rattle of a board game, the muffled giggles from a shared feast, and the simple joy of being together.

In this intimate, vibrant atmosphere, Main Story launches its 17th collection, inspired by the work of sculptor and printmaker Kim Lim. Her timeless themes—space, rhythm, and light—find new expression in garments that invite us to pause and observe movement and form as dynamic forces. Lim’s harmony in repetition and balance in stillness come to life in thoughtfully designed pieces, featuring abstract prints, fluid rhythmic patterns, soft textures, and saturated colours.

Children play among sculptures inspired by Lim’s minimalist designs. The collection celebrates that spontaneity: shared games, boundless imagination, and the warmth of moments captured in authentic snapshots, both indoors and out. Main Story believes in creativity as the driving force of childhood, in art as an everyday language, and in fashion as an act of responsibility. We create garments that are comfortable, long-lasting, and made to be passed on— beyond size and season.

About the Brand

Main Story is a UK conceived brand for children aged 2-14 years. We produce clothes for the creative, imaginative, playful world of children. We believe in the importance of the arts, principles of good design and responsible clothing.

Our collections draw on inspiration from the world of art & design. Each piece is designed to be comfortable, and provide ease of movement, using only soft natural fabrications, and organic qualities where available. Pieces that we hope you will pass on to be worn some more after they no longer fit.

Main Story – because ‘they‘ are ‘the’ Main Story.
