The Smarter Way to Move from Car to Stroller

There is a very particular kind of parenting choreography that happens beside a parked car. One hand on the baby, one hand on the car seat, bags somehow balanced on a shoulder, and a silent hope that the baby will remain asleep through the entire operation. It is rarely as smooth as anyone would like.
Joolz and Maxi-Cosi have decided that perhaps it should be.
Their new collaboration, the Joolz x Maxi-Cosi Pebble Slide Pro, brings together a car seat, base and compatible Joolz stroller in a 3-in-1 travel system designed around one deceptively simple idea: make getting from the car to the pavement less of a production.

 

Powered by SlideTech®2 technology, the Pebble Slide Pro slides up to 27 centimetres out of the car and rotates 360 degrees with one hand. In other words, instead of leaning, twisting and negotiating with the car seat, parents can bring the baby towards them and get on with the journey.

 

And because newborn life has very little respect for schedules, the details matter. Weighing just 3.9 kg, the seat can be transferred directly onto a compatible Joolz stroller frame, meaning there is no need to wake a sleeping baby simply because the journey has changed mode. A fully lie-flat position is designed for comfort on longer outings, while breathable ClimaFlow mesh helps regulate temperature. Easy-in harnesses stay open while the baby is being positioned, and G-Cell side protection provides additional protection in the event of an impact.

 

Good baby design isn’t necessarily about adding more features. Sometimes it’s about removing one tiny but deeply annoying obstacle from everyday life. In this case, that obstacle is the car-to-stroller shuffle, and Joolz and Maxi-Cosi are making a convincing argument for letting it slide.
