Here once again the doors open wide on our city’s most hectic week: Milan Design Week. If you want to discover the kid-centric design marvels and captivating events mark this following list on your calendar.

Among the highlights, renowned fashion label Simonetta makes a remarkable return: the flagship store at 42 Via Manzoni in the Brera Design District will be transformed into a haven for children with an exclusive installation of furniture items, inspired by CoccoleBimbi‘s iconic cloud motif. International designers, in collaboration with the famous e-commerce, have crafted these pieces, drawing from Simonetta’s SS2024 collection’s vibrant color palette. A limited-edition Simonetta x CoccoleBimbi T-shirt, designed for stylish moms and kids, will be unveiled during an invitation-only event on April 16th.

For the first time, design and lifestyle agency unduetrestella partners with TOG Together To Go, highlighting the fusion of design and childhood creativity. The collaboration showcases leading children’s design brands at the Carlo De Benedetti Foundation’s inspiring spaces, dedicated to children with complex neurological disorders. This collaboration underscores the belief that design and creativity in children’s spaces are transformative, much like the therapeutic settings in clinical environments.
Don’t miss the chance to explore latest products, toys and furniture pieces selected by unduetrestella at TOG (đź“Ť1 Via Livigno).

In a captivating union of iconic brands, Barbie and Kartell unveil the “Barbie x Kartell seating collection” during Milan Design Week 2024. This innovative collaboration presents doll-sized replicas of five iconic Kartell chairs with a Barbie-inspired twist. The collection not only embodies sophisticated design but also prioritizes sustainability, utilizing innovative materials like bamboo and 100% FSC recycled paper packaging. Additionally, Kartell will exclusively offer adult-sized reproductions of selected chairs on kartell.com for avid Barbie enthusiasts. The Barbie x Kartell collection will be on display at pop-up within the context of CondĂ© Nast’s “The Vogue Italia Closet” in Piazzale Luigi Cadorna.

Casa Stokke space will be open, April 17-21, to all families with a permanent child-friendly immersive art installation inspired by the Scandinavian forest and a calendar of free workshops for parents and children. These include Learn By Nature workshops dedicated to children aged 18 to 36 months, whose protagonists are Stapelstein modules, innovative and sustainable games that stimulate cognitive processes, creativity and motor skills. During the workshops, it is nature that will guide children in an engaging exploration full of surprises. Activities are designed to encourage direct experience through sight, smell and contact with matter. Save the address: đź“Ť Via Tortona 31.
