where craft, memory and a little bit of magic come home

What does home feel like?
Maybe it is the softness of a well-loved quilt, a curtain moving with the afternoon breeze, a pile of cushions that has somehow taken over the bed. Maybe it is something less tidy, more personal, a little imperfect… and infinitely more beautiful because of it.
With péro Home, home becomes exactly that: a place made of memories, textures, colour and craft. Not a perfectly styled interior, but a world to get lost in. And, judging from these images, possibly one to disappear under a mountain of quilts in, too.
And the starting point is exactly where we would expect it to be: textiles.
Handwoven cottons, sheer Chanderi and Maheshwar, natural linen, Mashru stripes, Jamdani, brocades, ikat and gamcha checks become the raw material for a collection of quilts, cushions, curtains, throws, rugs and other objects for the home. But calling them simply “home accessories” feels a little unfair. These pieces have too much personality for that.
Think floral appliqué meeting checks. Pastel colours interrupted by bursts of bright embroidery. Patchworks where different fabrics, patterns and memories seem to have bumped into one another and decided to stay. Vintage lace, old-fashioned buttons, hand-drawn illustrations and tiny imperfections complete the picture.
In other words: minimalism can take the day off.
The visual language of péro Home is soft and nostalgic, it has the gentle feeling of something inherited from a favourite grandmother, mixed with the imagination of someone who has absolutely no intention of following the rules.
And then there is the colour. Pale pinks, creamy whites and washed-out pastels give way to electric blues, vivid reds, fuchsia, deep indigo and exuberant multicolour patchworks. The collection moves between quiet and joyful, familiar and surreal, delicate and wonderfully over-the-top. One moment you are in a dreamy cottage bedroom; the next, you have apparently stepped inside the most fabulous textile cupboard in the world.
That sense of play is essential to péro. Home is not presented as a perfectly styled showroom, but as a place where things happen.
