For Autumn Winter 2026, Main Story unveils Collection #19, Epic Pocket Tour — a celebration of friendship, curiosity and the joy of discovering the extraordinary within the everyday.

Inspired by the creative world of artist and designer Peter Shire, known for his vibrant energy, playful spirit and bold use of colour, the collection embraces the idea of seeing familiar places through curious eyes. Drawing inspiration from Shire’s photographic memoirs, the season is infused with personality, spontaneity and a joyful sense of adventure. The collection follows a group of children on an epic pocket tour through London. Travelling by bus towards the River Thames, they discover that even the most familiar journeys can become memorable adventures. The day is grey and chilly, but they move through the city undeterred. Sleeves are pulled over hands, layers are piled high, and bursts of colour stand out against the winter sky. There is laughter, curiosity and the freedom that comes from travelling without a destination in mind. Personality sets the tone for the season. Colour becomes a language of its own, with vibrant hues sitting alongside earthy shades and soft pastels. Stripes, a recurring element throughout Peter Shire’s work, appear across the collection, while prints carry the expressive traces of abstract painting, celebrating imperfection, creativity and individuality.

Soft textures and layered silhouettes create pieces designed for movement, exploration and everyday comfort. Organic and recycled yarns bring warmth and depth to the collection, while thoughtfully considered shapes allow children the freedom to play, imagine and express themselves without restriction. Designed in the UK and made in Portugal, Collection #19 is created for children aged 2 to 14 years and crafted using responsible materials, including organic cotton and innovative recycled fibres. As with every Main Story collection, comfort, durability and freedom of movement remain at the heart of each design. Main Story believes in creativity as the driving force of childhood, in art as an everyday language, and in clothing made to last. Each piece is designed to be worn, loved and passed on, encouraging a more conscious approach to children’s fashion.
