Ho incontrato Miriam Lindthaler un paio di mesi fa a Lanzarote, in uno di quei giorni in cui la luce è morbida e tutto sembra leggermente sospeso. Quello che mi è rimasto non è stato solo il suo lavoro, ma la sua energia aperta, curiosa e con una sicurezza silenziosa.

Ci siamo sedute a prendere un caffè insieme alla nostra art director Judith e, in modo molto naturale, la conversazione è arrivata su qualcosa che conosciamo bene entrambe: fotografare i bambini non è mai solo una questione di vestiti. È fiducia, tempismo e capacità di lasciare andare il controllo. Abbiamo parlato di quanto sia difficile chiedere una posa e allo stesso tempo mantenere qualcosa di autentico. E di come, alla fine, l’unico modo sia trasformare tutto in un gioco.

Guardando queste immagini ora, ritrovo esattamente quella sensazione. I bambini sono vestiti, diretti, consapevoli della macchina fotografica eppure c’è leggerezza. Si muovono, giocano, inventano piccoli momenti tutti loro. Nulla appare forzato.

Lo styling di Schmizzi aggiunge un ulteriore livello a questo equilibrio espressivo, giocoso e con la giusta dose di inaspettato. È perfettamente in sintonia con PROM, dove vestirsi diventa parte del gioco.

Questa storia vive proprio lì, da qualche parte tra struttura e spontaneità, tra posa e gioco.
